Good Riddance: Rivers and Gates are Happy Tomlinson is Gone

Good Riddance.
That's the general sentiment felt for LaDainian Tomlinson amongst the Chargers community. Three years ago, saying I'm glad LT is off the team would get you stabbed in San Diego.
Now, it is met with agreement.
Fans are usually outspoken. What are the players saying?
Philip Rivers was quoted today as saying it was a "relief" that Tomlinson was no longer with the Chargers when giving an interview to the San Diego Union.
We all know there was a power struggle on the team over the last few seasons in San Diego. Tomlinson had his support as the teams leader and Philip Rivers was poised to make his mark.
Rivers obviously won the power struggle. He became the team leader. He became the face of the franchise. His stats soared as Tomlinson's dwindled.
In a way, any person has to share a certain compassion for LT. He was on top of the mountain. His fall came as rapid as anyone's. His frustration clearly showed.
