Greg Paulus Keeps NFL Aspirations Alive, Signs With Saints

The New Orleans Saints have reportedly offered Syracuse quarterback Greg Paulus a contract as an undrafted free agent after the former Duke basketball standout impressed the club in workouts.
Paulus, who started at quarterback for the Orange last season after being removed from football entirely for four years as he played basketball at Duke, had an up-and-down season, but showed enough promise for the Saints to try him out.
This is not Paulus' first contact with an NFL team, as he previously worked out for the Green Bay Packers as he mulled over his future in football, before signing with the Orange.
Paulus has the added advantage of having played for former Saints offensive coordinator Doug Marrone in his season with Syracuse.  
Paulus started all 12 games for the Orange, compiling 2,024 yards through the air, 13 passing touchdowns, and a school record 67.7 completion percentage, while leading the team to a 4-8 record.
