Jacksonville-San Diego: Expect The Chargers to Win Big This Week

While the San Diego Chargers have been one of the elite teams in the AFC in recent years, they have not always gotten off to fast starts.
When they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, they’ll be trying to avoid their second 0-2 start in three years and their third straight defeat in a home opener.
NFL oddsmakers are fairly confident San Diego will come through, listing the Chargers as a solid seven-point favorite with the total set at 45.5.
San Diego has won four consecutive AFC West titles, but it has been under .500 through its first five games each of the last three seasons. Facing four last-place teams from 2009 in their first six games, the Chargers expected to get out of the gate fast. However, they were defeated in Week 1 by a Kansas City team that lost 12 games last season, and two of those losses were 30- and 29-point blowouts to the Chargers.
