Jared Odrick Injury: Updates on Jaguars DE’s Concussion and Return

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Jared Odrick is being held out of the team's Week 1 preparations after suffering a head injury during Wednesday's practice following a hit to the jaw.

Odrick's Return Unknown After Practice Injury Thursday, Sept. 8 Jaguars senior manager of public relations Tad Dickman confirmed Thursday the 28-year-old veteran has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol and will need to receive clearance before returning to action.
Odrick played just one game as a rookie in 2010 due to a combination of leg and foot injuries, but he's been one of the league's iron men ever since. He's appeared in all 16 regular-season games in each of the past five seasons with the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville.
The Penn State product joined the Jags as a free agent last offseason. He racked up 29 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble during his first year with the franchise. He was a projected start...
