Jason Garrett: Was Making Him The Head Coach The Right Call?

January 2, 2011   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Jason Garrett is officially the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys according to the NFL Network and it's a move that won't surprise many.
The Cowboys were playing much better football under Garrett than they ever were under Wade Phillips and it looked like the team was finally buying into what their coach was telling them. Dallas locked Garrett up years ago for just this situation and he didn't disappoint given the chance.
Sure, Dallas has lost to New Orleans and Arizona, but those games were more about bad bounces than anything else and I think Garrett has done one heck of a job in a short time. He's done it without Tony Romo and I think he could have the Cowboys contending next year with a fully healthy team.
Jerry Jones made the right call and I'm not sure many would disagree.
