Jerry Jones Comments on Brandon Weeden After Tony Romo’s Injury

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke highly of Brandon Weeden on Tuesday as the quarterback prepares to enter the starting lineup for the injured Tony Romo. Jones stated it's "a thing of beauty" when the veteran backup throws the football.  
Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News passed along comments the outspoken owner made during a radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. He spoke highly of the quarterback's ability to deliver strikes from the pocket.
"Frankly, you won't see a more gifted passer," Jones said.
Weeden's career numbers don't exactly match up with the praise, though. He's thrown more interceptions (28) than touchdowns (27) in his career while completing just 56 percent of his throws. His passer rating across parts of four seasons is a lackluster 73.4.
