Josh Scobee Released by Saints: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

The New Orleans Saints have cut veteran kicker Josh Scobee, Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com reported on Tuesday. 
Scobee's tenure with the Saints didn't last long, as he signed at the beginning of March.  
He played just four games with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season before being cut. The Jacksonville Jaguars traded him to Pittsburgh after the first 11 seasons of his NFL career.   
Scobee made 20 or more field goals in eight of his 11 seasons with Jacksonville on his way to an 80.8 percent success rate. He amassed 1,022 points, the most recorded by any Jaguar in the team's 21-year history. 
In Pittsburgh, he hit a subpar six of 10 field goals in his four games and missed two field goals in a 23-20 Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which prompted his release.
