Kyle Long Injury: Updates on Bears Tackle’s Calf and Return

Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long exited Thursday's training camp session with a strained calf that's not expected to be serious, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Long Leaves Practice Thursday, July 28 Per Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune, Long was "wearing a walking boot on his left leg after he departed practice early with what [the] team said was a calf injury."
"I'm gonna be fine y'all," Long tweeted. "I appreciate the kind words and well wishes. Minor speed bump."
Long Among NFL's Most Versatile Linemen  Most Bears fans and NFL draft analysts were left underwhelmed when Chicago made Long the 20th overall pick in the 2013 draft. The former Oregon star proceeded to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons while starting at guard.
The long-term goal was always to move Long to tackle at some point. That's exactly what the Bears did in 2015, and Long made his third straight Pro Bowl.
