LaDainian Tomlinson Signs With the New York Jets

Former San Diego Charger LaDainian Tomlinson will be joining the Jets as soon as today or tomorrow reports the San Diego Union Tribune and Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter.
Tomlinson has played his entire nine year career with the San Diego Chargers but was released earlier this off-season. Tomlinson was due a roster bonus of $2 million and was coming off career lows in the 2009 season.
L.T. joined the Chargers in 2001 as the fifth selection in the draft, taken after San Diego traded the top pick to Atlanta, which the Falcons used on Michael Vick.
The 30 year-old running back won NFL rushing titles in 2006 and '07, set a single-season record with 31 touchdowns, and has gained 12,490 yards rushing, the eighth-highest total in league history.
