Lamar Holmes to Lions: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

On Friday, the Detroit Lions signed offensive lineman Lamar Holmes, per Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group, citing the team.   
Holmes spent 2015 on injured reserve before being released by the Atlanta Falcons in December. He spent a total of four seasons with the team, playing in three of them. 
Holmes was placed on injured reserve after breaking his foot in June, which was hardly the comeback the Falcons wanted after the offensive lineman missed 12 games in 2014 due to a broken toe. 
Regardless of his health, though, Holmes didn't look like a good fit for the Falcons, as ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure pointed out: "Although he lost weight upon returning after the offseason, he doesn't appear to be a good fit in offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's outside-zone blocking scheme that relies on athletic linemen."
