Landon Collins Injury: Updates on Giants Safety’s Knee and Return

New York Giants safety Landon Collins suffered a knee injury during Friday night's preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Collins' X-Rays Negative Friday, Aug. 14 Collins was helped to the locker room during the Giants' first preseason game of the season, and the team announced the results of his X-rays:
The safety was selected 33rd overall by the Giants in the 2015 NFL draft out of the University of Alabama. An already thin position, New York also lost another rookie safety, Mykkele Thompson, who was carted off the field with an Achilles injury during Friday's game, according to James Kratch of NJ.com.
No timetable has been announced as to when Collins might play again. If he is to miss a significant amount of time, the Giants might have to search the trade or free-agency market to add some depth to the safety position.
