Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman Comments on Chargers’ Potential Relocation

Just when San Diego Chargers fans thought the situation was over, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman reopened the idea of the team relocating to another city.
In an interview on The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday (via CBS Sports' John Breech), Goodman admitted the Chargers could be an option for Las Vegas as it looks to add an NFL team:
"I know they're absolutely looking to move," she said. "My husband and I have had season tickets to the Chargers for the past 30-plus years, and I would love [for them to move here]. [Chargers owner] Alex Spanos already has a relationship with the city; he was a developer for us in the '70s and '80s."
In January, Chargers chairman Dean Spanos released a statement saying the team will remain in San Diego for at least the 2016 season and that he hopes to get a new stadium that will allow the club to stay for the long term.
