Miami Dolphins Grab LB Koa Misi, OG John Jerry On Draft’s Second Day

Unlike the first day of the draft when the Miami Dolphins chose a player (Jared Odrick) at possibly their deepest position (defensive end), the team spent their two second-day picks addressing some of their biggest needs.

With the 40th overall pick, acquired from San Diego in a day-one trade, the Dolphins selected Utah defensive end Koa Misi , who will play outside linebacker in the team's 3-4 scheme.

Later, the Dolphins made their first offensive pick of this year's draft, choosing Ole Miss guard John Jerry in the third round with pick No. 73.

Internet rumors early on day two had the team acquiring outside linebacker Cliff Avril from the Detroit Lions for a fifth-round pick, but these reports turned out to be erroneous.

Heading into day three of the draft, the Dolphins have the following picks:
