Miami Dolphins Sign Undrafted TE Dan Beaudin

A few days after reports surfaced of the Miami Dolphins signing eight undrafted rookie free agents, the team has apparently signed a ninth by adding Montana tight end Dan Beaudin.

Initial reports were unclear as to whether Beaudin was actually being signed by the Dolphins or merely trying out at the team's upcoming minicamp, but Missoulian reporter Fritz Neighbor has confirmed to me via email that Beaudin was in fact signed.

Beaudin's addition gives the Dolphins 75 players on their 80-man active roster. The team will need to clear five roster spots to make room for their to unsigned restricted free agents (Ronnie Brown and Anthony Fasano) as well as their eight unsigned draft picks.

Background

A Montana native, Beaudin was a letterman in basketball, football, and track at Noxon High School. He went on to letter in all three sports at Montana as well.
