Miami Dolphins’ Strength Coach Evan Marcus Joins Virginia Cavaliers

In what could be an act of deep-seeded revenge for cutting his son, wide receiver Brandon London in 2009 (just kidding!), Virginia Cavaliers head coach Mike London has lured Miami Dolphins strength and conditioning head coach Evan Marcus away to become the school's new director of football training and player development.

It will be Marcus' second stint with the Cavaliers, having previously served as strength coach under former head coach Al Groh from 2003 to 2006.

Marcus joined Tony Sparano's initial staff prior to the 2008 season following one season as the strength and conditioning coach for the Atlanta Falcons. He also served the same role for the New Orleans Saints from 2000 to 2002 in what was his first professional coaching gig.

Originally an offensive tackle at Ithaca College, Marcus graduated with a Bachelor's degree in exercise science. He went on to hold strength and conditioning jobs at Arizona State (1991-92), Rutgers (1993), Maryland...
