Monday Night Football: Kansas City Chiefs Home Underdogs To San Diego Chargers

The best in the AFC West in 2009 meets the worst when the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs open up their seasons on Monday Night Football.
Not only were the Chiefs the worst team in the AFC West last season, but they have been the worst team in the entire AFC since 2007 with a 10-38 record. The Chiefs have not lost six in a row to San Diego since 1979-81, but NFL oddsmakers expect them to fall Monday, listing the Chargers as a 4.5-point favorite with the total set at 45.
San Diego is the cream of the crop in the AFC West. It captured its fourth straight division title with a 13-3 record in 2009. While San Diego is a big favorite to win the division again, this team has its sights set on a bigger goal.
However, it will need to have some players step up if it is going to make a Super Bowl run.
The Chargers enter the 2010 season without running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who rushed 12,490 yards and 138 touchdowns in nine seasons in San Diego....
