New York Jets: Laveranues Coles Released, Contemplating Retirement

Laveranues Coles was Released from the New York Jets on Sunday and is now questioning retirement.  Although Rex Ryan has told Coles that they would re-sign him sometime after week 1, Laveranues seems to feel unappreciated.  
He told The Star-Ledger of Newark : "I think I'm done, I don't want to become one of those journeymen football players.  I don't need the money.  [Rex Ryan] said I was doing well and they want to bring me back after the first game, but I don't know. I don't think that's something I want to do."
When he signed with the Jets in late July, Coles said that he planned to make New York his last stop.  He wanted to retire with the franchise where he spent seven out of his 10 years in the NFL.
Coles went on telling the Ledger "But I feel good.  I can still run.  I can still play.  I feel good about myself, and that's a good thing.  It's just part of the business.  The guys told me I still got it.  It was...
