New York Jets Sign Safety Dawan Landry

The New York Jets replaced one safety named Landry with another, this time bringing in LaRon Landry's older brother, Dawan Landry, on Tuesday according to Rich Cimini.
LaRon Landry—who signed a one-year deal with the Jets last offseason—bolted for a four-year, $24 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts after being named to his first Pro Bowl in 2012.
This was a nice signing by general manager John Idzik and fills a void in the secondary. Landry recorded 100 tackles last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars but was cut before the beginning of free agency. He was due to make $5.35 million in Jacksonville and was released after two seasons with the Jaguars.
The signing reunites Landry with Rex Ryan and Dennis Thurman. He played under Ryan and Thurman for three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
