New York Jets: Team’s Postseason Run Ends in a Grounded Flight

It wasn't supposed to be this way. This wasn't the ending that was put in the script, not the ending that Rex Ryan talked about. 
The New York Jets were beaten 24-19 by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game Sunday. The Steelers will now go for their third Super Bowl ring in the last six years. 
For the Jets though, regardless of all the feel-good stories, regardless of all the talk that they have a second-year quarterback who is still learning, regardless of people saying "Ignore Rex Ryan's crazy expectations," the season still ended in failure. 
The Jets were the loudest team in the league this season. Constantly running their mouths and ending up in the headlines for all the wrong reason. From very early on, they drew the ire of the league. Last season, many casual fans threw their support behind the entertaining rookie head coach Rex Ryan. This season, those same fans became Jets haters because Ryan would never shut up.
