Week 7 has almost concluded, and there are many head coaches on the "hot seat." These include Mike Singletary, Wade Davis, John Fox, Norv Turner, Tom Cable and Brad Childress.
With many coaches dealing with failure, there are an equal amount of coaches who are in the race for Coach of the Year. Whether it's from just winning games or reviving a lost franchise, there are many head coaches who could be extended after this year.
Pete Carroll, Raheem Morris, Mike Smith and Chan Gailey (just kidding) are honorable mentions for the award.
The top three candidates in line to win the award in my mind are as follows:
Steve Spagnuolo - St. Louis Rams
"Spags" finally has a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford that is utilizing his skills as a coach. When you have Keith Null, this task is hard because to be honest, the guy is brutal. The offense is balanced with progressing Sam Bradford and utilizing the top talent they have in Steven Jackson at the same time.
