ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a deal with former Seattle Seahawks wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a one-year deal.
The deal, which is valued at $855,000 according to Schefter, puts the 32 year old on his third team in three seasons. Housh inked a deal with the Seahawks for five-years at $40 million, but was released this past weekend after several discrepancies with management and coach Pete Carroll.
T.J. snagged in 79 receptions last year (his lowest total since 2005), alongside just three touchdowns. He had publicly voiced his unhappiness with the offensive system run by Jim Mora Jr. last season, and appeared to make no progress under Carroll’s new system.
With the agreement, the Ravens add to their receiving corp that already includes the newly-signed Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason. Joe Flacco and company will look to improve on their exit in the AFC Divisional Round against the Colts last season.
