NFL Draft 2011: Cornerback Patrick Peterson Ranked No. 1 Draft Pick

Patrick Peterson is the first, first-round draft pick according to the CBS Sports website. He is the No. 1 cornerback going into the draft. 
During his freshman year at LSU, Peterson had 41 tackles, broke up three passes and had an interception. Since then it's been only improvement throughout the years. Peterson finished the 2010 season with many awards, 42 tackles, six pass breakups and four interceptions. Opponents eventually learned to stay away from Peterson. 
Peterson has won multiple awards. According to the CBS Sports website, Peterson has won the Bednarik Award as the nation's best defender, the Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back and the SEC's defensive and special teams MVPs. 
Peterson patterns his playing style after that of Charles Woodson of the Green Bay Packers. According to AP Sports, Peterson and Woodson keep in touch.
