The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went 10-6 in 2010, which was good enough for—third place in the NFC South and an early vacation.
But the Bucs don't plan on sipping Mai Tais while other teams are sipping Gatorade in 2011. They have reason to expect an even better record and will take more steps in proving why they will succeed in the 2011 NFL Draft.
There are suddenly concerns about the franchise's future at cornerback, with the impending trial of Aqib Talib in a bizarre and surprising felony aggravated assault case.
Tampa Bay needs to upgrade its defensive line, especially at the ends, in order to climb the division latter. That's just one of many defensive areas that could use upgrades and depth.
Developing depth at running back is a task for the Buccaneers' front office as well. It's a busy time for the upstart Bucs, as they make big plans for the immediate future behind quarterback Josh Freeman and coach Raheem Morris.
