Retired Players Should Always Announce Picks at the NFL Draft
This year the NFL is doing something a little bit different with the NFL Draft. In the second round former NFL players will announce the draft picks of their respected teams. I am all for this, and I hope it becomes a tradition. 
Roger Goodell will of course always announce the first round picks. As NFL commissioner it is part of the job to announce the first round and shake the hands of the next big time players of the league. Prospects look forward to stepping on that stage and being welcomed to the league by the commissioner of the league. 
However, what's not cool is in the later rounds having NFL executives announcing picks. It's always some guy you've never heard of with an annoying voice. This year some of the younger crowd still may not know who the player is, but the announcement know becomes special.
