NFL Draft Rumors: The 2011 Miami Dolphins Need QB Cam Newton

“With the No. 15 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected Cameron Newton, quarterback, Auburn University.”
Now wouldn’t that be something if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell were to utter these words on draft day?
For many Miami Dolphins fans around the country, this may not happen, and some may not even want this to happen, but in all actuality, Cam Newton could answer all of the Dolphins questions at quarterback.
Now, I’m not here trying to say that Newton is the best overall quarterback in the draft, or even that he’s NFL ready to take on the rigors of an NFL schedule, but the Dolphins are being way too harmless this offseason by holding on to Chad Henne, Tyler Thigpen and Chad Pennington as their quarterbacks.
We all witness what happened in 2010, and it’s time for change. Not just for the sake of making a move, but in order to keep our sanity as ‘Phins fans.
