NFL Lines: Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccanneers

Despite playing without star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers have used two strong defensive efforts to knock off playoff contenders Atlanta and Tennessee.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that only won three games last season, are also out of the gate fast with a 2-0 start.
The Steelers haven’t just been without Roethlisberger. They have also been without backup Byron Leftwich. And now it looks like third-string signal caller Dennis Dixon could miss time after suffering a lateral meniscus cartilage tear. Dixon’s injury forced the Steelers to re-sign Leftwich, who was strategically cut after injuring his knee to open up a roster spot for defensive lineman Steve McLendon. If Leftwich’s knee still isn’t ready to go, fourth-string quarterback Charlie Batch, who relieved Dixon last week, will get the nod.
