NFL Mock Draft 2011: New York Giants Select Gabe Carimi, Bolster Offensive Line

Now, it's true that the Giants have had their fair share of problems on the offensive line in the past few seasons.  But when it mattered most in the home-stretch of their 2010 regular season, New York's o-line failed miserably in protecting Eli Manning -- costing them a playoff berth.

So to shore things up for the imminent future, Tom Coughlin would be glad to hear that Wisconsin's monster offensive tackle Gabe Carimi is on his way to the Meadowlands.

Carimi, weighing in at an impressive 6'7'', 314 pounds, would be an excellent choice for the Giants heading into next season.

Ranked as the third-best offensive tackle available (20th overall), Carimi has all the physical tools available to aid in New York's 2011 playoff run, and to become a future Pro-Bowl caliber tackle like that of former Badger great Joe Thomas.

Look for Carimi to make an immediate impact for the Giants as soon as week one.
