NFL Mock Draft 2011: Patriots Play It Safe by Selecting Danny Watkins

Though many have said the Patriots are likely to trade this pick away, they won't be able to pass up a talent such as Baylor's mammoth offensive guard Danny Watkins.
As a three-year starter with the Bears, Watkins' 6'3'', 306-pound frame enabled him to dominate the offensive line against many Big 12 defensive threats, and headlined Baylor's impressive offensive line just a season ago.
While maintaining all the physical attributes any NFL team could hope for, it is his great work-ethic and strive that has caught the eye of many franchises entering the 2011 NFL draft.  And if he's available for the picking at number 28 overall, don't expect the Patriots to pass him up.
Watkins can either play from the offensive guard position or offensive tackle, and would be a solid pickup for the Patriots up-front.
