NFL Odds: New York Giants Blowout Expected Over the Dallas Cowboys

Last week’s 45-7 loss to Green Bay was the final straw for Wade Phillips, who leaves Dallas with a 34-22 record over three and a half seasons.
Last season, Phillips led Dallas to an 11-5 record and an NFC East title.  He also led the Cowboys their first playoff win since the 1996. Still, the disappointment of a 1-7 start was just too much for Phillips to overcome. Now the Cowboys will finish out the year with interim head man Jason Garrett.
With all indications that the Cowboys have given up on the season, Garrett faces an extremely difficult task.
Since a 41-35 loss to the New York Giants on Oct. 25, the Cowboys have been blown out by Jacksonville and Green Bay while allowing an average of 40.0 points per game.
NFL odds makers have listed the Cowboys as a 14-point underdog with the total set at 46 for this week’s contest.
