NFL Point Spreads: San Francisco 49ers By Three Over Seattle Seahawks

The San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks are all set to kick off their 2010 campaigns Sunday in an NFC West division battle.
Under new head coach Peter Carroll, the Seahawks are hoping to return to the top of the division after consecutive losing seasons. Meanwhile, Mike Singletary is looking to take one of the all-time great NFL franchises to the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons.
While NFL oddsmakers expect a close game, they have given the edge to San Francisco, listing the 49ers as a three-point favorite with the total set at 37.
Carroll returns to the NFL after winning seven Pac-10 championships and two national titles at USC. He is hoping that success will carry over to his second stint in the NFL. But he will certainly have his work cut out for himself, as he inherits a team that is just 9-23 over the past two seasons.
