Tomlinson, up the middle , gain of one, Tomlinson, around the left side, tackled for a loss. The Chargers are facing a 3rd and long here, and in comes Darren Sproles.
The camera zooms in to a clearly frustrated LT on the sideline. A frown spread across his face, and clearly yelling unpleasantries at the linemen.
The camera zooms back to the field of play. The give is to Sproles, he makes a move, he finds a lane, and gets tackled after a gain of 9, and out comes the punting unit.
How many times have we witnessed that scenario over the past 40 games. For all of you LT supporters, I'm sorry, but it will be nice to have a running game again.
No, I'm not saying Sproles is what LT was in his prime, but he is way better than the 2008 or 2009 version. If I could " cut, paste" Tomlinsons 2006 season into the 2009 Chargers, there's no doubt the Chargers would have won the Superbowl.
