NFL Predictions for 2010 Season: Slight Edge To Patriots Over Bengals in Week 1

One of the more interesting matchups of the first week of the NFL season is the Cincinnati Bengals at the New England Patriots.
The Bengals surprised everyone by winning the AFC North last season, going a perfect 6-0 against the other three teams in the conference. The Patriots once again finished on top of the AFC East, but it was the New York Jets who made it further into the postseason.
Looking at the NFL odds for this game the Patriots are four-and-a-half point favorites over the Bengals with the total currently sitting at 45 points.
Surprisingly the Cincinnati Bengals are somehow flying under the radar heading into the 2010 season, as all the talk in the AFC has been about the Jets, Ravens, and Colts. A big reason for that is the Bengals had a poor showing in their first round playoff game against the Jets, but this is a dangerous team that has made some nice additions this offseason, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
