NFL: Roger Goodell Wants an 18-Game Season; Should You Want It?

As one of the most exciting and injury-riddled NFL seasons comes to a close, the fact that Roger Goodell wants an 18-game season will be discussed greatly for the next month.
This is a hot topic for the ongoing labor talks and could be a deal-breaker. Goodell and the owners want to change the game by switching to 18 games in the season.
However, the players and most of the fans want the game to stay the way it is. 
The NFL season currently has four preseason games and 16 regular season. The new proposal would feature just two preseason games and a total of 18 regular season games.
This season we have seen more injuries than ever before; imagine if this had been an 18-game season—your team could be playing with their third-stringers by the end of the season.
The Packers themselves were one of the most injured teams in the nation. If they had to play two extra games, it is very doubtful they would have experienced the same success in the postseaso...
