Ever since the trade was made a few weeks back that brought both cornerback Sheldon Brown and linebacker Chris Gocong to the Cleveland Browns from the Philadelphia Eagles, many have said that the Browns do not need to look at Florida cornerback Joe Haden as their No. 7 pick in the first round anymore.
I have read through many online sites, and rumors are starting to spread that Brown may not be a lock as a starting cornerback, as many first thought.
Brown is a very good cover corner, with a good nose for the ball. If you haven't seen his hit on either running back Reggie Bush or Steven Jackson, then go YouTube when you're done reading this and watch.
He may be 31, but Brown still has plenty of play left in him. Otherwise, the Browns would not have been so bold as to pursue him via a trade.
The recent rumors say that because of Brown's age and hard-hitting style of play, he may move positions and become the new free safety Cleveland lacks in their secondary.
