NFL Trade Rumors: Vincent Jackson To Vikings Means NFC Goes Through Minnesota?

Vincent Jackson could be on the move.
Sources are reporting that the Minnesota Vikings are apparently ready to make an offer for the disgruntled wide receiver from San Diego, though nothing else has been noted at this point.  The offer is dependent upon Jackson's six-game suspension being reduced to three according to sources.
This is a huge news development.  The Vikings were previously rumored to be interested in trading for Jackson, and this is the first bit of hard news in regards to the potential move.
This would be an absolutely fantastic move by the Vikings, who are in desperate need of a vertical threat with Sidney Rice out half the season, perhaps even longer.
In any event, I think the likely compensation for Jackson will be dependent on what kind of extension he is given, but the rumor is a one-year deal. I'm not of the belief that a one-year deal is the best route for the Vikings to travel, but to each their own.
