NFL Week 9 Picks: Seattle Heavy Underdogs As They Host The NY Giants

The 5-2 New York Giants and the 4-3 Seattle Seahawks last met in 2008, when New York rolled to a 44-6 win. That was the eighth win for New York in 13 all-time matchups.
However, winning in Seattle has not come easy. In fact, the Giants have lost their last four road games in this series.
The Giants were the hottest team in the league in October, winning all four of their games straight up and against the spread. Following a bye week, NFL oddsmakers expect New York to pick up right where it left off, listing the Giants as a seven-point favorite with the total set at 41.
While bye weeks give teams extra time to prepare and get healthy, they have not been kind to New York. In fact, the Giants are a dismal 6-15 following their annual week off. Still, one has to like New York’s chances if it can continue its stellar play on the defensive side of the football.
