Optimism In The San Diego Chargers Proceedings With Vincent Jackson

As recently reported by San Diego newspapers. The Seattle Seahawks expressed interest in a trade for Vincent Jackson, and the Chargers weren't ready to part ways. 
 
This would have been the fairest trade partner San Diego could align with. They aren't division rivals or even in the same conference. Seahawks GM John Schneider and Chargers GM, A.J Smith have been very willing trade partners as well, including the recent trade involving Charlie Whitehurst.
 
So in what ways can Chargers fans read this?
 
Adeal is being worked to retain Jackson in San Diego for multiple years. A deal will be proposed in the form of a one year tender increase which will have Jackson staying in San Diego through the 2010 season at least.  Chargers will keep Jackson to put the franchise tag on him  at the start of the 2011 season,  If Smith can get him to sign his tender this year.
