Pat White Switches Career Paths, Signs With Kansas City Royals

Pat White has a chance to resurrect his career, on the baseball diamond.
Pat White just signed a contract with Kansas City. Not the Chiefs, the Royals.
In what has been a disappointing professional football career, White has opted to give baseball a shot. He signed a minor league contract with the Royals today after no NFL team decided to pick up the free-agent quarterback after getting released by the Dolphins last week.
White was drafted in the fourth round out of high school by the Anaheim Angels back in 2004, but instead decided to play college football at West Virginia. White batted .487 his senior season in high school with a .974 slugging percentage. He was named second-team High School All-American by Baseball America. Obviously he’s an incredible athlete.
