Randy Moss Traded to Minnesota Vikings: Will They Re-Sign Him?

This morning, most NFL fans awoke to reports that Randy Moss' trade to the Minnesota Vikings is official before the Vikings have agreed to a contract extension with the mercurial wide receiver.
Last night, most analysts were adamant that Moss would not be traded until the Vikings worked out an extension with him.
Although details aren't finalized, it is believed that the Vikings will send the New England Patriots a third-round pick in return for Moss and his expiring contract.
The Patriots have already made out on this deal. In 2007, they acquired Moss from the Oakland Raiders for a fourth-round draft pick. A little over three seasons later, and after 50 touchdown catches, the Patriots have cashed out and received a higher pick than the one they surrendered for Moss.
