Redskins RB Matt Jones Crashes Florida-Georgia Tailgate Party

Redskins running back Matt Jones understands the Florida-Georgia rivalry better than most. Little did he know he would become a part of it as early as age 15.
“[My freshman year of high school] in the playoffs...I ran a 52-yard touchdown on my first carry," Jones told Bleacher Report. "Soon after the game, Georgia [running backs] coach [Bryan] McClendon came up to me and said, 'Young man, you have great talent. You have an offer here at the University of Georgia.'"
For most of high school, the Georgia Bulldogs were at the top of Jones' list. Until one day when then-Florida head coach Will Muschamp showed up at his front door.
"Coach Muschamp said he wanted to run a downhill scheme, straight power," said Jones. "That was something I wanted to do at the college level.
