Reed Becomes Fastest to Reach 200 Receptions Among Tight Ends

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed recorded the 200th catch of his career in Sunday's 31-20 win over the Cleveland Browns, setting a new NFL record at his position for the fastest player (38 games) to reach the 200-reception barrier, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Info).
Reed narrowly bested the old record of 39 games, which was set by Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow Sr. in 1981 as a member of the San Diego Chargers.
The two tight ends appear to have quite a bit in common, as both have struggled with more than their fair share of injuries but otherwise mostly appear unstoppable.
Winslow played just seven games during his 1979 rookie season and ultimately made just 109 regular-season appearances in nine seasons, limited by injuries more so than the opposition.
