Remembering Vince Lombardi: The Man, the Genius, the Legend

Vince Lombardi would turn 97 this Friday, yet his legend is more alive today than it has ever been!
The words "icon," "legend," and "genius" are way often overused in the U.S society.
All too often we hear of legends being born for playing great football. Or musicians being referred to as "genius" for writing decent music. And commonly the word "icon" replaces the word "famous."
But if the NFL could have just one ambassador to define all three justifiably, it would be Vince Lombardi.
 
Genius
Not too many people know it, but Lombardi was an aspiring priest at age 15. He also was a professor of physics, chemistry, and Latin. He earned a business degree in 1937 and topped that with a law degree in 1939.
Yeah, I'd take him over Kanye West (genius) in a game of Scrabble any day!
