Report: New York Giants Might Pursue Former Jaguars LB Daryl Smith

One of the positions the New York Giants could use an upgrade in is at middle linebacker.
They are looking to bring back Chase Blackburn, but Blackburn would be best added as depth and backup to have for leadership.
According to a story from Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union, the Giants might look into pursuing long-time Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith.
Sam Spiegelman of SNY Giants also reported the news of Smith potentially landing with the Giants, which cited Stellino's story.

The 30-year-old linebacker missed most of the 2012 season with a groin injury, but is still one of the top free agents at the position.
In his last full season where he was healthy, Smith had 107 total tackles with 3.5 sacks and one interception for the Jaguars back in 2011.
