Rob Gronkowski Smart to Exercise Patience, Delay Return to New England Patriots

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has an awfully bright future ahead of him. Therefore, he is smart to remain patient on the sideline while the Pats keep winning.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Patriots and Gronkowski's inner circle are at odds over when the two-time Pro Bowler should return to the field. Gronkowski, who is out for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, has been dominating in practice over the past few weeks, according to Schefter's sources. But he isn't quite ready to make his 2013 debut after undergoing nearly half a dozen surgeries on his forearm and back over the past year.
While quarterback Tom Brady and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels would absolutely love to have Gronk back in the lineup, there isn't a pressing need for him to return.
