Rod Marinelli: Chicago Bears’ Defensive Coordinator

Rod Marinelli has been coaching since the early 1970's. Yet, during his entire coaching tenure he has never been named defensive coordinator. But this year, Rod will get his chance with the 2010 Chicago Bears.
Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo feel confident this move will bode well with the defense. They feel that Marinelli brings in so much knowledge and experience to the defense as a whole.
Marinelli is known for being one of the best defensive line coaches in the entire NFL, but will this success transition into the defensive coordinator role? 
Many people are talking about the 2010 season being a big season for this coaching staff. The staff will be completely revamped after the end of the season, assuming another dismal performance.
