Our front office geniuses did their part to cure our ailments, retain our stars and release our non factors. We have maintained our whole offensive line. Our star QB and all his receivers.
We even managed to snag college football's top ball carrier, and a nose tackle who isn't too shabby either.
With Rivers, Gates, Jackson, and Floyd having another year to work together, and a running back who can keep defenses honest, we're going to put some points on the board. I look also for Rivers to do a lot more play selection, another good thing.
Also, I look for Naanee to be used as a slot receiver more often, and Sproles getting a lot more screen passes, with LT being gone. Sproles in the open field in dangerous for opponents in any defensive scheme.
If Matthews plays as expected, the Charger will have arguably the most balanced offense in all of football. With a simple system in place, same coaches, quarterback and receiver, I expect it to be even more explosive than...
