San Francisco 49ers: Nate Davis Signed To Practice Squad, Jarrett Brown Released

Nate Davis has cleared waivers today and the San Francisco 49ers have signed him to the practice squad. Quarterback Jarrett Brown from West Virginia was released in order to clear room for Davis.
Davis has been the object of much speculation lately, as coach Mike Singletary has publicly questioned his work ethic and desire to learn.
Davis impressed NBC broadcaster, Chris Collinsworth, with his 60-yard bomb to Ted Ginn against the Minnesota Vikings, his quick release, and his quick feet.
“I don’t know what else you have to see out of Nate Davis. This young man...his feet are quick. His release is quick. He’s seeing the field. He’s not hesitating, and he’s got a rocket...” 
Singletary wasn't as impressed, and was particularly critical of Davis' slide one yard short of the first-down maker on a third-down play during the Vikings game.
