49er’s Harbaugh Final Decision on 49ers Quarterbacks
The San Francisco 49ers leadership may have stepped into a tug-of-war regarding the No. 7 selection in the 2011 NFL Draft in April.
Jim Harbaugh's comments regarding his study session on quarterback Alex Smith authenticates his knowledge on which quarterbacks should be on the 49ers roster.
He stated that he’s been studying film on Smith, and he believes Smith can be a good quarterback in the National Football League.
Harbaugh has 15 years NFL playing experience and clearly knows what it takes to be successful at the position, and the magnitude of preparation involved in developing a game plan that will give the 49ers quarterbacks the best chance to win each week.
The NFL Combine and pre-draft workouts creates opportunities for Harbaugh to quiz the quarterbacks for their abilities to read NFL defensive schemes and the progressive passing tree it takes to run the West Coast offense.
