Steven Jackson Injury Update: St. Louis Rams RB Expects To Play vs. Carolina

Steven Jackson broke the ring finger on his left hand during the Rams' game against Tampa Bay in Week 7, and required surgery to insert two pins into the finger to stabilize his fracture. However, he has been adamant since the surgery that it would not cause him to miss any time. Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo has been more reserved, taking a wait-and-see approach to discussing the injury.

One indicator that Jackson should play was his limited participation in practice on Friday, a good sign for the player that is arguably the engine for the Rams' offense.

While not officially active just yet, signs are pointing to Jackson being ready to play against Carolina on Sunday. He's a key player for the Rams so his presence will be vital if they're going to pull out a win at home.
