Super Bowl Prop Bets 2011: Will Any Ball Hit the Scoreboard?

Super Bowl prop bets have indeed gone this far.

This one actually makes sense.  When the new Cowboys Stadium first opened last year, one of its most eye catching features was the gigantic video board hanging over the middle of the field.  Measuring 160 feet high, and 90 feet long, it is one of the largest HD video screens in the world.

But in a pre-season game last year, a punt actually went high enough to hit the bottom of the display, prompting cries from opposing teams for the NFL to force Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to move it. He refused, however, and it's been largely a non-issue since.

I'd say that trend continues.  The incident last year seems to have been a fluke thing, and I personally think this game will be filled with more scores and turnovers than punts.  Sure, a kickoff could also hit it, but they tend to be straighter and lower than punts.  My bet would be on 'no'.
